Organization and Systems Specialist, Dr. Consuelo Meux develops leaders and trains employees to understand the complexities and growth related opportunities of change in organizations and in life. Dr. Meux is an expert in practical leadership, organization development, workplace behaviors and marketing and brings a unique perspective to her clients and the marketplace through her consulting and marketing businesses.   Consuelo’s real life business experiences started as a youth, helping keep financial records in her family business. She started her own first entrepreneurial venture in the 8th grade as the musician for a local church.  “I soon grew that work opportunity as a pianist/organist into a full business. By the time I was in high school, I had so many potential bookings and private music students that I started hiring other musicians and sharing the work with them.  That as my first venture into independent entrepreneurship.”

After gaining her first degree in marketing, Consuelo did insurance sales before following up on her dream to travel overseas as a Peace Corps Volunteer.  She helped to develop Food Cooperatives in Cameroon, West Africa and has since traveled and worked in several other International locations in Africa, Europe, Mexico and most US States.  

On returning to the US, Consuelo worked as a Small Business Analyst with California State University Fresno and later became an Assistant Manager of the Central California Small Business Development Center.  She later created a marketing consulting firm for small businesses, new corporations and non-profits.  “I found a real gap in services to deliver targeted marketing programs and products that related to the continually changing market trends. So I stated with one client and the next thing I knew demand for innovative marketing ideas helped my business grow very fast.” 

Some of her projects included creating an ad for the first electronic billboard in the area, promotional materials for a School district, marketing inserts for the local Newspaper and events.  “I love organizing events and did everything from intimate major donor events to a statewide training conference for over 100 people.”

After earning two master’s degrees (MA, Organization Development and MS Organization Behaviors) and a Ph.D. in Human and Organization systems, Consuelo started teaching business and organization development studies at various universities. She currently teaches and trains executives and managers from major corporations around the world as an online instructor in the organization doctoral programs with University of Phoenix online.  She has also taught advertising and marketing courses at Cuesta College.   

Dr. Meux is an expert public speaker who has given two commencement speeches.  Last year her second book “Yes I CAN Success Online: 5-Easy Steps to Your Confident Online Business Presence” sold out the first printing in six weeks. One reason for her success is the ability to help clients stay relevant in any economy.  “A business or organization doesn’t have to fall victim to the changes in the economy when the leadership understands market trends, innovative marketing techniques and consumer needs. An quick example is that companies that show consumers they are aware of the importance of being “green” in business operations do better than companies that don’t; a simple concept but very important and powerful.”

A sought-after business and conference speaker, trainer, author and facilitator, Consuelo is the Founder & President of a national online training association for mid-life professionals, as well as Certified Executive and Creativity Coach.
